Litter on our Shores: Volunteer for Coastal Cleanup Day

Volunteer to help clean up our waterfront | post and photo by Jen Gennari

Do you tire of seeing plastic along the bike path or in the bay? Volunteer for California Coastal Cleanup Day!

What: Coastal Cleanup Day
When: 9 am to noon, Sept. 16
Where: Meet at Kappas Green
Info: www.coastal.ca.gov

Join us Saturday, September 16, from 9 a.m. to noon to pick up trash from Mike’s Bikes to Commodore. After the cleanup, join volunteers from all over Marin for a barbecue thank you at the Bay Model, from noon to 2 p.m.

This year marks the 33rd Coastal Cleanup Day, in which thousands of volunteers turn out to California’s beaches, lakes, and waterways to help remove hundreds of thousands of pounds of debris. We believe this is the first year that the Floating Homes Association, organized by the Environmental Committee, will participate. We’re proud to be a part of keeping our home beautiful, and we hope to have a big turnout!

Plastic like this along the shore will be picked up by volunteers on Sept. 16

We look forward to turning the tide against trash! Contact your site captain Jen Gennari if you have questions.
