Hello Dear Neighbors,

We wanted to let you know that our neighbor Lauren Petterson passed peacefully in Tiburon last night, with her boyfriend Eric by her side. Lauren was diagnosed with stage 4 Breast cancer 3 years ago.

She is survived by her dad Jack, her mom Myrna, a niece and nephew, and a beloved cat, Katrina. Lauren loved animals. Donations to The Marine Mammal Center or Humane Society would be welcome, if you like to do these kind of memorial donations.

Because Lauren was someone who liked impromptu gatherings, Daren has suggested an informal gathering at the golden triangle on Liberty Dock, this Saturday at 5pm to reminisce and raise a glass in Lauren’s honor.  The golden triangle is the open area in front of Daren’s, Kathryn’s, Tara’s, Spurge’s, Olivia and Ralph’s boats—the last dog leg on the dock.

We are sorry to have to share this news, but we wanted you to know.

Addendum — photos of the June 5 gathering, and remembrance, by Michele Affronte:

Lauren lived to travel. She would go anywhere anytime even if it meant by herself. Her need for privacy made her very unique to the docks. She rarely asked for help and many were shocked when they heard of her passing. She was very well read and could converse on many topics. I miss her already.
