WHAT: First Aid for Disaster Response (FADR)

Organized in conjunction with the Marin County Medical Reserve Corps (MMRC) this is for the Board, emergency prep people, and anyone in the FHA who wants to be more prepared to help themselves, their family or others on the dock.
WE WILL COVER WHAT ANYONE CAN DO TO HELP:
- Recognize a basic life threat in 15 seconds
- Clear and protect an airway
- Stop severe bleeding; includes principles and practice of tourniquet application
- Apply a splint and sling
- Safely lift and carry a victim
This is a hands-on experience that will increase your skills even if you just took CERT.
