First 2016 Tour Committee Meeting – March 14

Lots to look at, taste, and explore  | photos by Jung Vu

Hmmmm Which houseboat should we tour first?
Setting up on the green
Anticipation builds the closer one gets to entry
Patience rewarded
Who would have thought we'd have so many authors amongst us?

Music lifts the spirits and somehow makes everything alright

Enjoying a well-deserved sit down at the end of the day

The Tour Committee is beginning to plan for this year’s annual open homes tour, set for September 24. Most Committee members are returning from last year, but there are still some important positions open.

If you’re interested in being part of this fun, energetic group, plan to attend the first meeting on March 14 at 6:45 PM aboard #6 Issaquah.

This year’s tour will be smaller in scope, providing a leisurely paced, intimate experience for attendees. Ten homes will be open, hopefully on South Forty, Liberty and Main Docks.

Only 500 prepaid and 100 walkup tickets will be sold, reducing the impact of the tour on the community. Homeowners interested in opening their boats to visitors should contact Mari Steeno at maristeeno@yahoo.com. Watch for calls for tour volunteers in the months to come.

The annual tour remains the major source of funding for the Floating Homes Association, and also supports local nonprofits such as the Friends of the Marin City Library and Sausalito Village.
